SST UPDATES

Week of 4/15/24. Tree crews continue to cut down 300+ trees along N 145th and I-5. Trees cut down along N 145th between Corliss and Sunnyside.

Thurs 4/7/24. The removal of 317 trees along N 145th from Corliss to 5th Ave NE has started. Today trees along the north side of N 145th from Corliss east to 3rd Ave NE/I-5 were cut down and many of the tall conifers have been delimbed. This is the devastation of an urban forest in Shoreline and a deprivation for residents and the environment. There were other solutions that should have been incorporated into the N 145th corridor design.

Sunday 3/24/24 at 1 p.m. Join Tree Action Seattle and Save Shoreline Trees to walk along the north side of N 145th from Corliss east to I-5. The trees will be removed beginning 3/27/24 or soon after. 134 trees to be cut down along N 145th from Corliss east to I-5. 183 trees to be cut down adjacent to the N 145th on-ramps /off-ramps of I-5. Total of 317 trees.
